SLIM: SALVACION LIM HIGGINS GALA
It might have been a night at The MET, localized at the Museum of the Filipino People, National Museum of the Philippines. And I missed it. Damn. Thank goodness for stylebible.ph, click HERE for all photos. Reposting here Isha! Thanks. =)
My top picks are mostly floor sweeping numbers, which I think is appropriate considering the event was a retrospective in honor of pioneer couturier Salvacion Slim Higgins. There were only two short dresses that captured my eye, the others were either too casual or, too cocktail-ey, which, in a formal event would look too unformal. Duh. ANYWAYZ. Heres the blogroll, ta! da!
Preview Editor-in-Chief, Pauline Suaco-Juan in Cary Santiago. Pauline Suaco-Juan in Cary Santiago. I think that had to said twice.
Preview Fashion Editor, Liz Uy in vintage Slims. I love that poufy derriere with the short train, amazing how contemporary the piece still looks with the right shoes and fab makeup.
An unexpected color choice but still a picture of sophistication. Preview's Beauty Editor-at-Large, Agoo Bengzon in Martin Bautista.
Preview's Editorial Assistant Anna Canlas in Rajo Laurel. Draping in a fluid high shine fabric always looks photogenic, and it helps too that her color choice complements her dusky skin. Points!
A touch of 80's for Preview's other Editorial Assistant, Cit-Cit Sioson. With fashion's love affair for that decadent era, it's only natural for it to trickle down to red carpet pieces. If this gown was in electric blue, I'd die. But since it's in this season's, (as well as next even) shade of nude, then it's PASOK!
Loving that train. And brown is such a strong color for Holiday. Structural folds on the chest gives this piece that extra oomph. Angela Alarcon in Chris Diaz.
Heres the other short dress that I liked, that black bow on the neck reminds me of Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel-esque. The black ornamental cutouts and layered tiers remind me of Cary Santiago. But all in all, its a very pretty dress, I'd wear it. And an unpredictable footwear choice also, not so high pumps. So next season. Celine Lopez in Dennis Lustico.
My bestie Melissa Dizon out and about already after giving birth, I'm guessing that's Eairth she's wearing and sporting a new do' too. Welcome to the She Bang's club Iss!
I love eeeet. Contrasting textures of mattes, shiny grays and ebony blacks for an old world and yet contemporary romantic feel. Firma's dynamic duo, Ricky Toledo and Chito Vijandre.
Simple. Classic. Black. Bianca Gonzales in Joey Samson.
ROWR. This is just breathtaking. Teresa Herrera in Rajo Laurel.
When black tie means a gold trimmed bow tie by Vivienne Westwood. I like. Raymond Gutierrez in Francis Libiran top, John Varvatos pants, Paul Smith shoes.

AGES
Wynn Wynn's 2010 Jewelry collection is like stumbling into a treasure trove of gleaming antiquities. Think jaw dropping loot from Pharaoh's tombs. One-off hand tooled and hammered gold pieces. Yes, its that covetable. That desirable indeed that when we got there, almost all were either sold or on reserve. Bummer. But hey, it's not too late to feel like royalty. It's still on display at Firma, Greenbelt 3. Hurry though, the pieces are beautiful enough to unfreeze credit cards.
Thanks Ricky for being such a gracious host and letting me take photos. =)

WHY
I'm going to marry the man who buys me this yacht.
"WHY – Wally Hermes Yacht
No man’s an island – no more. This ‘moving island’, built by Wally’s President and CEO Luca Bassani Antivari as well as Hermes artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas allows man to travel with unsurpassed comfort and spaciousness. It has been described by the former as having the ‘freedom of the yacht with the space of a property’. Perhaps another one of the many compelling reasons to own this yacht is that it is environmentally friendly. The Wally Hermes Yacht (WHY) is equipped with state-of-art sustainable technology and it uses recyclable thermal energy, making travelling on the WHY guilt-free."

I IMAGINE
I imagine... ( insert cool caption here ).
To all College enrolled pseudo writers and opinionated poets out there, you think what you're saying could be the next big IT slogan?
You think you could write what could be the new creative word play splattered on specially produced Folded&Hung hoodies like these...
Your words emblazoned in print. On a Shirt. Worn by people. And thats people you don't even know.
If this makes you go hmmmmmm. Then mosey on over to SAMSUNG IMAGINE and choose from these genres: LOVE, WORK and PLAY and then pen your original Shakespearean masterpieces by completing "I imagine____________________________________." Easy yeah?
And if that's not incentive enough, theres also prizes! Yay!
*Taking a deep breathe* Individual winners (one per category) will take home exciting prizes such as P30,000 cash, the Samsung Corby mobile phone, Samsung ST500 Dual LCD Camera, Samsung CLP-315 printer, Samsung LapFit LD190G monitor, 5 Samsung “I Imagine” hoodies to keep or giveaway, and P10,000 worth of gift certificates from Folded & Hung. Likewise, the schools of the respective winners will each receive a Samsung LCD monitor. *Whew*
So. Go. Imagine. Now.
