SATURDAY NIGHT OUT

Glad that I can post this today, two days (not bad) after i took the photos. Hidden agenda: Its the first Philippine Fashion Ball tonight at the Peninsula. And I'm thinking I'll be taking heaps of photos so might as well upload whatever images that I have on archive. Not that I'm saying its a lot, it's actually just Saturday night, but still, don't want it to pile up like all my fashion week photos na anong nangyari? Walaye.



So yes, not much events as of late but we have three for this week. So watch the space as I'm flooding it with images--Fashion Ball tonight, Kiehls 160th anniversary tomorrow. That should be a cool contrast--as that calls for vintage as oppose to glamour.



Anyhoo, Saturday was blocked off for Penny, a 630 dinner at my favorite haunt Chihuahua. She's never been so decided to have spicy Mexican to start the night. That dinner lasted a good 4 hours, with chika, catching up and four dishes in between: tacos, burritos, chili and nacho grande, and 8 margaritas (they're the best!) and a beer. Penny tips the alcohol scale by a beer and a margarita half. I only drank 3 and half before pulling out the i-have-to-drive card.

Case in point, when we were outside the resto smoking, i introduced her to an acquaintance and he goes: "Oh my God! Penny! I love you!! You're like my favorite in the best dressed list!!" Hah. Enough said.

Well, it IS really summer. And what better way to say hello to the heat with attention grabbing, ultra fluorescent arm candies like these? I've been wanting to have an everyday handbag that screams color. And as coincidence would have it, Madison just got their new shipment of Cambridge satchels. In eye-blinding fluoro!! Oemgee.

Their first deliveries of neon come in 11" ( the smallest size), in hot pink and electric orange. (Second deliveries will include a bright yellow and green) Sooo hard to chooose!

Oi. And it's real leather made in Great Britain love.

I took it out today and I soooooooper love it. And when I say electric orange, I'm not exaggerating about its voltpowering brightness. You have to see (with sunnies on) to believe. Love, love, love eeeeeeet!!!

With Céline. Thats how my Facebook status should read. I profess my love for the brand and yes, I would give up my kidneys, lungs and heart for the Mini Luggage. This was taken in Mitsukoshi Ginza by my Fashion Fairy Godmother, Penny (I wuv you!), who makes all my designer bag obsessions come true!! =) She manages to locate all the really-hard-to-find ones. Its unaccessible online at all the usual luxury sites, and last time she asked her SA in Printemps, it was unavailable. Buuut apparently, they have deep stock in Japan! I. Love. Eeeet!!!!

Just so you know how fast they go, the green Micro Shopper (middle bag) was sold out the next day after this photo was taken. Boohoo.

I'm waiting on Penny's buyer to bring me news from Paris(?) on the availability of the tri-color one on the topmost, but in mini size.

Hello baby. I love it because its so understated that only people in the know recognize it. I mean, its not blatantly screaming designer logos, Celine stamp is so small and in cracked gold foil pa. Its become recognizably iconic because of its boxy shape and curved squiggle. And I have to say, craftsmanship is IMPECCABLE.

Last year I've only seen Malou Pineda of Rockwell carrying it. And I swear I. died. Honestly, I've been lusting over this bag since last year!! The brother, the boyfriend, and even my EIC knows it!!
